Selma is a city in Bexar, Comal, and Guadalupe counties in the U.S. state of Texas. It is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. Located about 18 miles northeast of downtown San Antonio you can enjoy smaller city life but still have nice access to everything San Antonio has to offer.
Settled in 1847 mostly by German and Polish immigrants. Selma, TX was home to John Harrison and his wife Martha an he became the first postmaster of the town when the post office opened in 1856. It was also home to Harrison and Brown stagecoach company offering freight services from San Antonio to Austin.
